Town of Rolesville Description
Rolesville is located in northeastern Wake County, fifteen miles from Raleigh. Though small, with a population of just over four thousand, Rolesville is one of the fastest growing communities in North Carolina. Centered on Highway 401 and close to I-540, Rolesville affords easy access to the greater Research Triangle area, and is part of Wake County’s outstanding school system. Despite these advantages, Rolesville still feels quaint and tucked away.
A town rooted in the agricultural tradition, family farms dot the landscape of Rolesville, adding to its peaceful allure. Much likes its pride in farming, the town takes great pride in its rich history as the second oldest town in Wake County. Yet it also eagerly looks forward to its expansion, as expressed in its motto, “Celebrating our past, embracing our future.” Among Rolesville’s perks are its many parks and outdoor spaces, including Main Street Park, an urban park in the center of town, and Mill Bridge Nature Park, a spacious park with natural scenery and wildlife.
Residents will enjoy browsing the Rolesville Flea Market, or attending one of the many events and festivals held annually, including Rolesville Fall Funfest and the Christmas Parade. And for those looking for something a little less conventional, there’s Fantasy Lake Scuba Park, a large stone quarry lake dedicated to divers and complete with sunken artifacts to explore.
